Spiritually enriching and meaningful worship experiences.
WORSHIP FROM HOME
We love gathering for in-person worship – seeing all the faces and smiles and enjoying the chats and conversations. But right now this isn't fully possible due to COVID-19. We would love to have you worship with us at home and hope that our Worship at Home live-stream services will offer you meaningful worship experiences and connect you closer to God.
Both services feature uplifting messages and inspiring music and include a children’s message.
Traditional Live-stream Worship: Sundays, 8:45 a.m.
LifeLine Contemporary Live-stream Worship: Sundays, 11:05 a.m.
Follow this link to join us for both services: https://www.youtube.com/shandonumc
Services are recorded after they air and are available to watch anytime.

WORSHIP FOR CHILDREN
Children are always welcome at our worship services and are encouraged to worship with their families. During the services, a children’s bulletin and crayons are available, and children are invited upfront for an age-appropriate children’s sermon.
Age-level nurseries are available during all worship services for infants through three-year-olds. Nurseries are staffed with trained, paid workers and parent volunteers.
At Shandon, children experience a Safe Sanctuary environment.
In addition to our regular Sunday morning worship services, Shandon also celebrates special days and church seasons through worship such as Lent/Easter and Advent/Christmas. This seasonal worship includes services such as:
Eddie Huss & Friends is a uplifting musical Christmas program filled with beautiful music by a variety of performers and benefits an outreach nonprofit organization.
Hanging of the Greens marks the beginning the Advent Season – commemorating the coming birth of Jesus through placing of ivy, cedar, mistletoe and holly. This service is designed to help us prepare our hearts to welcome the Christ Child. The Celebration Choir, with accompanists, performs this service.
Faith and Freedom is a celebration, held on the Sunday prior to July 4, filled with patriotic music performed by the Celebration Choir with the Faith and Freedom Singers. The celebration also features a barbeque lunch and lots of fellowship with family and old and new friends.
Children's and Youth Sundays celebrate our children and teens as disciples of Christ and embrace the joy and responsibilty of nurturing them in the Christian faith. These services are lead by Shandon's children and teens.
Services of Healing, offered periodically throughout the year, affirms the ministries of spiritual healing. It is God’s work of offering persons balance, harmony and wholeness of body, mind, spirit and relationships.
Blessing of the Animals witnesses to God's and the Church's love, care and concern for creation.
Celebrating God's Creation celebrates our call to be faithful stewards of the earth that God has entrusted to us.
Holy Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is celebrated the first Sunday of each month in all three of our worship services and is celebrated in the home upon request. Everyone is invited to the Lord’s Table to affirm Christ’s life, death and resurrection, to reenact it in our lives, and celebrate it with others.
Wheelchair access is available at each service.
