Differences Between the Services

Traditional Services

The traditional services, at 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. in our Sanctuary, feature relevant messages from Scripture, catering to a diverse congregation of all ages. Our Chancel Choir, Celebration Choir, Youth Music Group, Children’s Choirs, Wesley Ringers, and orchestra help us worship God and enhance the worship experience.

LifeLine Contemporary Service

Our 11:05 a.m. contemporary service in the Gym presents uplifting messages and modern Christian praise songs by the LifeLine Band. Prior to the service, enjoy coffee, pastries, and fellowship in a casual dress setting.

Worship For Children

Shandon’s focus is on cultivating children’s Christian faith. They’re encouraged to attend worship with their families. Age-specific nurseries are available during Sunday services for infants up to age 3. Worship spaces provide children’s Bibles, crayons, and activity folders for engagement.

Most services include a Children’s Sermon. Children, age 3 and older, are invited to join us up front for an age-appropriate message during the service. Afterward, they rejoin their families for worship.

Holy Communion

Holy Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is celebrated the first Sunday of each month in all three of our worship services and is celebrated in the home upon request. Everyone is invited to the Lord’s Table to affirm Christ’s life, death and resurrection, to reenact them in our lives.

Special Assistance

Wheelchair access is available at each service. Wheelchair access to the Sanctuary is located at the Sanctuary east entrance near the parking lot. All entrances to the Dunn-Smith Center are wheelchair accessible, and all campus buildings are wheelchair accessible through the covered center walkways that connect the four buildings.
