Touching the lives of hurting people through one-on-one, confidential support.
At different times and stages, life can be more challenging and we may need a little extra support – times of loneliness, depression, illness, grief and life transitions. At times like these, it is important to have someone who will be there and listen without judging. Lay caregivers, called Stephen Ministers, provide one-on-one, completely confidential caring for those who are hurting from some stressful event in their lives. They visit weekly, listen, pray and offer confidential Christian friendship and love.Stephen Ministers are trained in the national Stephen Ministry program and receive 50 hours of initial training and regularly participate in continuing education and supervision.
