Hands-on mission projects are rewarding in many ways not only for the people we’re helping but also for the mission workers.

D-group is small groups sharing life together as disciples of Christ with real connections and meaningful relationships. D-group has three core principles – lifting one another up, pushing one another forward, and sending one another out. D-groups for men, women, and couples meet at various times and locations.

“It’s such a good family environment…I’m actually here by myself. I traveled 600 miles away from my family…and Shandon is my family here in Columbia.”

Shandon is a friendly, caring Christ-centered community of all ages and life stages. No matter where you are on your faith journey, you’ll find a place to connect and belong and grow in your faith.

“When we were married, we started coming here. Both of our children were brought up in the church. The children’s programs and the youth programs have been outstanding.”

Children experience engaging, fun studies and activities that encourage and inspire them as they discover God, grow in their faith, and learn about being a Christian every day.

“There are a couple of opportunities…if people take advantage of them, their lives will be changed forever.”

Each fall and winter, Doorways to God discussion studies delve into a variety of subjects that offer in-depth spiritual and personal enrichment.

Women of all ages are invited to renew their spirit, rest their body, nurture their faith, and encourage their discipleship at our annual women’s retreat each January.

Helping others through mission projects has “a profound impact.”

Each summer, teens along with adults travel with a caravan of buses, vans and trailers loaded with sleeping bags, tools and ladders to repair homes, build relationships and share love, hope and faith with the people in the Petersfield Community in Hollywood, SC for Youth Mission Project.
